240 carburetor stud - re-die or replace?

How hard would it be to find a stud that connects the carb
to a IH 240 to the intake manifold? It's about 2 in long and
has coarse threads on the bottom fitting into the carb
flange and fine threads on top where a nut tightens it onto
the manifold flange. One on my carb has fine threads that
are pretty well stripped. Should I just run a smaller die over
it and try to fix it that way? thanks.
