pete-Tex, Wouldn't think you'd have to flush it with anything. Getting it all limbered up and warm first is a good idea. Let it drain overnite and it might help if you could raise the front end of the tractor up a bit. If tractor is level the swale in the housing just ahead of the drain plug will hold a small amount of old oil. She takes 13 and a 1/2 gallons of replacement lube oil. I just did mine and used 85w-140 and have been real pleased with it. Might also want to strain the old oil through some cheese-cloth or small screening material to ensure you don't find something you should know about before adding the new lube oil. FB
