340's had two point hitch's, there is however a three point adapter that IH made that converts it to three point. As well there was some after market three points hitches that were adapted to some of this model tractor. I do know that the Farmall 404 an 504 series tractors had three point hitches with torsion bar top links. The 340 did have power steering an came with either Gas or diesel engine's, the diesel's rowcrop are pretty few an far apart. The problem with 340's are that they are to new to old an to old to be very new thus parts are somewhat hard to find in bone yards an Case/IH dealers still have some parts in stock but not alot. Sheet metal is the hardest thing to find for 340's, the 240 which is the next smaller has smaller sheet metal an the 460 has bigger sheet metal. You can still find sheet metal but you are going to pay alot, the white side covers an corners are the hardest to find along with light brackets. This is a very good tractor, I had one an work it for a number of years, I sold it last year to a IH chapter member who completely restored it, I road it this past summer after he finish an I still have a smile on my face from it :o)

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
