Will a 5 foot cutter bar (my assumption is that this is the whole assembly that pivots off the mower body) and a 6 foot cutter bar interchange on a sickle mower body. I was told that back in the day, you could tell the dealer and they would put on whatever cutter bar length you requested (5, 6 or 7 ft) but I wanted to make sure. Second question is what do I need to replace on the cutter bar if I am restoring it, besides the knife sections and the ledger plates. Are there any other consumable parts? Are there any parts on the main body of the mower that are consumable? Thanks Ramon
