If the cutter bar is from the same manufacturer and will bolt on, it will most likely fit. I've mixed different brands and you have to sometimes shim, drill, and grind it to make it fit right. You may want a whole new knife if the backer bar is worn badly. Bent, cracked, and damaged guards should be replaced if you plan to use it much. Check the skid plates underneath, they may be wore out or more likely rusted out. Lots of mowers have wear plates (to keep the backer bar and sections off the cutter bar) and hold downs to keep the seckle from riding up. These are also high wear items.
