Harold, Here is a photo of the head. The rest of the remains seem to fit an H since I have an M on the farm, and they won't fit it. I have the gear box that goes in place of the belt pulley and it is too small for the M's belt pulley drive. I have a manual for a cotton picker that looks kinda like this one and it is (I think) "M-14 and MD-14". The parts and layout look very similar. A neighbor has part of a 1-row built on an M. It has a V-Belt pulley bolted to the PTO shaft. Does this sound familiar? I really don't know what type it was, the tractor is a 1945 M, and the picker head is gone. How did you learn so much about cotton pickers? I am kinda intriqued by the ones around here. I am toying with the idea of restoring the old 214 on the family farm. Otherwise, they may haul it to the scrap yard. Do you have a parts manual for the 214? JG
