There is a small hole in the exhaust part of some if not all M manifolds. This is to let water out if the engine sets out in rain, snow, etc. Making sure this hole is open will help extend the life of it. If you park the tractor for long periods of time, make sure that they don’t go flat. Flat tires that set for a long time stress the cords in the tire leading to breaks in the sidewalls. It doesn’t matter if they are on dirt or something else. The only time I’d worry about covering the floor is if the tractor you have is a show tractor and you want to keep it as clean and dust free as possible. Then get a large zip-lock bag to drive it in! :>)
