Hi Bruce,I am an agricultural engineer by occupation, commonly known as a tractor mechanic. Why emigrate? because agriculture (actually manufacturing industry in general) is being let go in this country,we need a government that will look after the interests of it people rather than thier own personal gains, not just the one we have got now, those in opposition dont seem to have any idea either. Why N.Z.? We looked at the main english speaking countrys U.S.,Canada,Austrailia and N.Z. now the first 3 have somthing in common-that is their farming is on a much bigger scale, and so are the tractors,in N.Z. things seem to be similar to here so I would be able to get straight to work without any readjustment. I am really not shure about thier tractor values, but this old Farmall means a lot to me,my grandad worked on I.H. tractors through the war you see,-so there is a bit of him in it,not to mention the poor guys on a liberty ship getting it across the North Atlantic in the last months of 1944 Thanks for your reply.
