did you check hydraulic fluid? on my 240u it steers great stationary, but when i have my beast of a (you guessed it) superior loader it is harder to steer. i had a lot of leaks that i fixed, and still get some leakage that i"m sure does not help. also i think you could rebuild your pump...there isn"t much to them...read manual and do fluid pressure checks...
