If you don't already have a shop manual of some type, get one. Copies of pages from parts catalog are helpful also. Use a splitting stand to safely roll the engine/front end out of the way. Also some type of hoist, to adequately support the center section (containing the TA), as center section is moved forward in order to remove it from the long pto drive shaft (which will stay with the rear transmission section), is a must. Get someone to help you. Sometimes those three short hydraulic supply tubes which have to come out , can be difficult to remove. Use small locking pliers (vise grips) to get a grip on them through an access hole and twist them back and forth to break them free. The entire TA removal and replacement job is not difficult for anyone mechanically minded or for someone who can follow directions from a repair manual. Happy wrenching !
