thankyou Christian El Toro and JB2 I will probably get a shop manual to work it out as you sugested, i suspect it is the linings warn out but there is no squelling of metal against metal. Today the clutch slppped to the motor was reving as I pulled out a tree with a chain but for a moment when i didnt realise what was happening the wheels failed to move. I pushed down on the clutch and then smelt the clutch linings. But i worked for another 4 hours pulling trees without a problem. Also I could not get it into gear at one time today I must have spent quarter of an hour trying then it slipped into gear thankfully. I was doing work the tractor was not big enough for.
