Super M overhaul..Where do I go from here...

Hey all. I have not had a great last 24 hours. Tore apart the Super M engine, and my highs and lows since buying this tractor in September are going to tear me apart. Ever get the feeling things are going too good to be true and things don't go this easy until something goes drastically wrong? Yeh...

1.) I have a M&W crank in the engine, and I forgot to write down the parts number on it, but I would like to get it identified. Looks like M&W rods, too, but it does have IH Firecrators. Quite the package at its prime.

2.) In removing the rod from the crank, the two pieces holding it to the crank were together tightly, I could not pry them apart. At least, until I let it go to try to think of another way to get it out, and landed on my face. Not a pleasant experience AT ALL. Landed on my right cheek and upper teeth, causing pain and excessive bleeding and foul language from the mouth.

3.) All of the pistons and rods came out without a wimper of resistance, except for the lesson learned in #2. Amazing to look at the engine then and see how far I went in a morning.

4.) Ate a great lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and back to work. Boy this has been a great day.

5.) Set up the sleeve puller and the cheery picker. I pumped several times and was scared to death I was reefing on it too hard until the sleeve came launching out of the block and I just about launched a load in my shorts. Sleeve 1, out.

6.) Without a doubt a hole in that cylinder. I knew the day had been too good.

What can I do now, guys? I really don't want to junk the block, but am I truly done? The hole is about 3/8" in diameter, on the carburetor side of the block. The next cylinder was fine. I've heard of repair sleeves and such, but I am yet to pull two more sleeves. I stared down in that cylinder and leaned up against the block and just about cried. I went from "the engine has clear water from the exhaust" which it did to "crack in the sleeve" which it didn't to "easy out, easy in" which wouldn't prove the case anymore and now "hole in da block." Golly, guys, you have helped me out so much, and I don't want to scrap this old girl, but what can I do to this motor? Thank you for everything you have done for me, as I am truly at a loss for my own knowledge, now. Thanks, and take care.
