Hugh, thanks. You make good sense as usual. The hyd oil is the last thing that I have left undone, after curing a major axle leak and getting it to start and run consistently. The loader is a 'Superior' model and I have been unable to determine the filter part number or how to drain the hyd oil. The filter is in a metal "bell jar" housing and looks to be about 3' in diameter and and maybe 10" long. The hyd oil resides inside the tubular loader frame on this model. I can't find the drain plug, but maybe will have to pull a hose leading into the pump on the front of the tractor. Thanks for your note!
