Well, I guess I am running in the same league with your father in law. Stick a fish in my ear and call me stupid but I did not 'connect the dots' on the p/s situation on this beast until you guys started cluing me in. You dad in law spoke truly -- they steer like a brontosaurus using the 'Armstrong' method... Deano, my p/s pump leaks appeared to be happening along the base of the pump right where it sits on the drive shaft alley. Looking closely, I could see where some previous owner had tried to gunk it up with silicon. I think pulling/rebuilding that pump is going to be a chore and a half. Have to wait for warmer weather around here. Summer project for sure. Have you tried to replace the points in your dist yet, working through the Superior loader frame? Because of the frame tubes, I can't see in there well enuf to get a little wrench on the condenser lead, etc. Somebody said just pull the whole dist out, but I am king of leery about putting it back one tooth off and totally hosing the timing.
