My '47 M has a Schwartz wide front that I rebuilt last winter including upper bolster bushing kit, and there are four larger bolts that connect the steering post to the lower bolster. I believe the right front bolt is a tall bolt that moves in an arched slot that acts as a limiter. Most wide fronts have this built in out by the wheels but you should leave the tall limiter bolt in. I suspect someone didn't put that tall bolt back in when the wide front was installed. Any salvage yard should have one. Good luck.
