It is indeed a model B. The serial number perfix FAB indicates as such. The left side shaft housing has been removed and replaced with a drive shaft from a model A, and the drop housing remounted. That in essence gives it nearly the same rear configuration as the A but with the longer offset tube found only on the B under the operators seat. It just goes to show what someone can do with a tractor in 60 years. I"ve also seen a B or BN which has had the narrow front pedistal removed and a wide front assemble from an A installed to create either a wide front B or an entended rear A. Take your pick. Either way lessens the resale value, but may make the tractor more applicable to the current owner.
