those sure do sound like some interesting combinations, but I bet I could buy a complete 806 for the price of just the engine and I'd much rather have the 806 (more gears and improvments over an H) if I was really looking for the horsepower. I was just looking into a 3cyl detroit conversion just for the sound. I would still be alittle worried how much horsepower could be run through that H tranny and rearend before disaster, an 806 engine would be 3 times the stock horsepower that the tractor was designed for. I wouldn't think bolting a 436ci from a 1466 into an M would be too good either, 140hp in a tractor that was designed for 40hp just doesn't seem like a good idea, thats 3 1/2 times the horsepower. I'm understanding that the 460 had problems with the rearends being too weak anyway, and using an even eariler rearend seems like really asking for problems. The 1466 has a wider nose than an M, so how would you accomplish proper cooling even if the engine did fit?. Your engine swap ideas sound great, but I still think I'm going to go stock. Thanks!

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
