Don't let some idiot fool you into thinking it will be easy to turn the clutch plate just because you have the belly pump out (if you even have one). If he'd ever had an M apart he'd know you can barely even see the clutch plate buried in the flywheel behind the pressure plate. There is not much room to grab the transmission input shaft. And when the clutch is stuck enough that you know it, it likely means you've had it running and cannot stop the tractor by pushing on the clutch. That means you'd have to put enough force on the shaft that you can move the tractor. You'll have a tough time trying to free it by hand. If you are uncomfortable using the brakes at low speeds like I suggested, by all means pull the clutch plate out, if it is in good shape clean it up and reinstall it or replace what is bad. This is all assuming, of course, that you have verified it is adjusted so that depressing the clutch pedal will cause the throwout bearing to push on the pressure plate fingers.
