If you get the rear wheels a little off the ground (using very stable wood blocking) and try the fifth gear and brake method this might be more sucessful because your brakes would not have to stop the foreward momentum of the entire mass of the tracktor. When the above fails, with the wheels still off the ground remove the starter, lock the fly-wheel and one rear wheel. Place a log chain at the six and twelve oclock positions on the out side of the other rear tire. Connect pullers and pull carefully in opposite (horizontal) directions. I have not done this myself, do not know of anyone who has and disclaime all liability for anything that goes wrong.
