Oh Tanner Tanner Tanner, Start over. make sure that when # 1 is at TDC that it is on the compression stroke. That is why you were told to put your thmb ofer the hole. see, if it at tdc on exaust stroke it ain't gonna fire. OK now without moving the engine get the distributor set rigt. Yes, the 2 o'clock position should be right, you do this by sliding the distributor back and moving the gear position. I assume you knew that. Now, still without moveing anything look at the points. They should be just starting to open. change this by gently rotating the distibutor. now tighten up the bolts that hold the distributor. If you want call me at 308 340 1548 and I will try to walk you through it.
