Again, I,m not sure....if it's a smaller skid steer, it may....everything i pull I use either my 2001 f250, or my '89 dually diesel.....You will definitely be at or over your limit on the half ton if it's a bigger unit. It might be easier/better in the long run to give your friend some cash, and get him to use his truck and trailer to bring it home for you. Where are you located? maybe somebody here has something going the other direction in the near future...Also, maybe try posting it on the hauling schedule section on this site....400 miles is a long way to overwork a tow vehicle..you may get lucky and find someone willing to back haul for a reasonable price. One of the things I look at with shipping, even with having enough of my own stuff to do it...even if it's a $1.00 a mile....for $400 how much do you really save when you consider gas, wear, time, etc...
