Well different strokes for different folks. But The trade school I went to taught us to let the bolt or nut off and then retorque. Other wise it streches the heck out of them as your waiting for that snap to break loose you know the one I mean when you are at 75 FT pounds and your torque wrench goes up to 82 before it brakes loose. LOL When you run the motor it heats up the gasket seats and squiches down so you let the nut off then retorque that one then let another one loose and retorque and so on. I had a neighbor that had a AC D14 and went through about 8 head bolts even sent his torque wrench to the local nuke plant to have the shop check the values. He just kept snaping them waiting for them to brake loose to retorque. hope this helps JON
