Reading about the bathtub brings back memories, we had a feedlot heifer drop a calf one cold January night, by the time we found the calf, the poor little guy was just about dead. I scooped him up and headed for the house, told the wife to run the bathtub about half full of warm water. She gave me a funny look but did it anyway. I put the calf down in the water, the calf was so weak I had to hold his head up with one hand and massaged him with other. In about 10 minutes the little guy was sucking on my fingers, so I carried him to the heated back porch and layed him on a rug. In about 2 hours he was standing up and bawlin for momma, so we rounded up momma, put her in the barn, and reunited the pair. The little guy was soon one very strong calf, I don't think he remembered any of it.
