It sure is difficult to determine just what equipment all the origional model year tractors came from the factory with. I doubt if we will ever know all the changes made from time to time, but thats part of the (fun) I guess. One detail I've come up with on my own (at least I've never seen it discussed on the boards) is the gauges on the pre war, and during the war years models. All of the restored tractors have gauges with chrome trim, but I believe all the early gauges had black painted rims. It sticks out like a sore thumb to me when I see a beautiful old tractor with everyting looking like new. I could be wrong on this, but I've saved several old gauges from the early tractors, that I know hadn't been changed for many years, if ever, and they all had black painted rims. Kinda nit-picking I know, but if You want to get it right, you wnat to get it right. ken
