400D Flywheel Weight?

I am a greenhorn here, so bare with me. I read the procedure for using threaded rod to split the tractor to change the TA, and since nothing scares me (much), I went ahead and made up my own wheel system to move the tractor parts around.

I got the tractor split at the flywheel by about 20", and notice that the flywheel looks very heavy. I wanted to check or change the rear engine seal, but after looking at this thing, and since it appears there may not be any leakage from the main seal, I am thinking about not changing the seal.

First, how heavy is the flywheel, and what"s the best way to handle the thing? Just looking at it, I don"t think I can manhandle it. Also, would I be well advised to replace the seal?
