You can remove the pan then clean the top with kerosene,diesel fuel or solvent. It will not get into the cycls. Compressed air will help also. Clean the sump on the oil pump while the pan is off also you will be able to clean the bottom area of the block around the crankshaft. After letting it drip clean for a day i would install the pan. Dont worry about a new pan gasket now. Put new oil and filter and any 10-30 oil and start and run for a few minutes then drain. remove pan and clean it. Then new pangasket and filter and new oil again. Wont be perfect but you will have got most of the crud. I have been around these tractors since 47 have 2BNs 4Bs and 4As and some equipment great fun. Two of them have been on tractor rides and have close to 800mi on them each pluss mi going to parades ect. Never any trouble. good luck gene b
