I Agree with boring it out, If you can find High Altitude, LP pistons for an 806 IH, that makes a 560 gas wake up and take you for a nice ride. Years back, had built a IH 656 like this, used it in the fields, and played a bit too. Engine was strong, but the head is restricted builds heat pretty fast, and burns up the valves. If you are in the market to find a donor engine, look towards finding a truck engine, Im not sure what model trucks they were in, L, something,,,, but these engines, had a sraight valve head, and a very high compression capability.Its like the LP heads to the letter series Farmalls, but there is quite a few of them round. Only catch to this head is to run flat top pistons, it is tight in there. The truck head, had larger ports, You could not port the tractor head, as big as this style cyl head is stock! Cheap, but very potent 100% IH performance. 150 hp 301 30% over rpm? Yes! Heat trouble? not if the carb was tuned right, right fuel grade, good spark, the stock 460-660 distributors are not a good choice, combines are not much better. Not too sure on the truck style distributor. Governor from a IH C-200 series gas engine, not the tractor model, the engine (C-200ci) these wake up a IH 6 tractor engine like night and day in sensitivity. 560 has a pretty big radiator, Mite still be farm field usable, long as you are not over working the tractor frame, VS the engine. Cheap HP,,, Look around, Wont be disapointed. ChadS
