Mapleridge: If you want to check out your 986 TA then put a 986 load behind it, so far you have only talked about good Farmall M drawbar loads. Try a 5-6 bottom plow, 20'disk or cultivator or couple of 300 bu grain wagons. My neighbor has couple of 400 bushel grain wagons, and I see him quite regularly with them loaded behind his 856.
