Super A ....New sleeve piston question

My early SA (250551) is gettings the head re-built, new rod & main brgs, and new sleeves & pistons. I'm about ready to buy a sleeve set from Darin's. They sell an oversized set with 3-1/8" aluminum pistons. This tractor still had the original 3" flat top pistons. Will this bigger set work OK in my old tractor? Also, is there any need silicone or seal the top lip of the sleeve when seating it into the top of the block?
