I bought my sleeve kit from IH for a Farmall A and it came with 3 1/8" pistons. No problem with the fit. The worst problem was cleaning the area in the block where the seals (doughnuts) sit. You need to make sure this area is very clean so there's no leakage into the crankcase. Even if you have the block cooked inspect this area for any rust scale. I smeared the sleeve end with dish detergent so it will slide into the seal easily. My A had a 16-inch moldboard plow that came with the tractor and it would pull that plow very good except when it was in sod and it would slip some then. I never used any sealant on the sleeves at the top. Never had any leakage around the head . I did retorque the head after getting the engine running and heated up. Hal
