I'm doing sleeves & pistons on my old Super A. I wondered about high compression, step top pistons for it. I decided to go with something more like stock, because I don't necessarily need any more HP for what I do with it, and I thought the higher HP might over stress the clutch or something further back. Also I got to wondering if my starter could handle more compression, It cranks slow enough as it is.
