Hey Dave, Boy! You go after the toughies, don't ya? :>) Why does that planter have assist wheels? Is it equipped with liquid tanks? Or insecticide boxes and/or dry boxes making the assist wheels necessary? If it is just a plain jane planter, I'd almost bet the tractor would lift it better without the added weight of the assist wheels. As with all those old fast hitches, the key would be how well you can construct a hitch. I used to hang heavy, double tool-bar, 6-row Lilliston cultivators on a fast hitch equipped 656 and the tractor just played with the things. Had two of those cultivators and they were set up pretty darned heavy. Dunno, Allan
