Lift-All Pump Relief Valve

I'am wanting to get a little more preasure than 800 lbs out of the
lift-All. I ground down the edges of (3) 1/16" thick washer so they would fit under the relief valve spring and plunger. Has any one else done this and how well did it work? The spring would be compressed 3/16" more. Would this create to much preasure and possibly split the pump housing.
The other thing is the gasket under the relief valve ball seat needed, it's not shown in the parts listing at our local CaseIH dealers computer.
