I just unbolted the one bolt on the steering support, and laid the sterring wheel assembly off to the side. I used a 3-point hoist to pick up the unbolted bolster as a unit, saving a split. Of course if the bolster leaked, I would have done it your way. That seal leaking sure made a mess, and presented a challenge.
