I agree. Don't butcher such a fine tractor. Everything for a full rebuild is available at reasonable costs, and last I knew some outfits still offered complete shortblocks. I suspect by the time you transplanted a diesel, you would have way, way, way more than the tractor's worth, and no one would want it if you ever decided to sell it. my $.02 Al
