scott: I have had quite a few personal e mails over past couple of weeks with Super A guys. I think you were one of them. Are you the guy from Sask, Canada? Did you ever get an e mail from me? If you are the guy from Sask, when I sent you an e mail, I got a message saying undeliverable. I've forgotten the reason. I had this happen with another individual in Sask. Let me know on this. I'm having a bit of trouble keeping it straight on who's who.

Now back to your disk, and this is why I asked about the e mail. Couple of years back, a guy was on YT one evening, owned a Super C, and was shopping for a disk. The only disks he could find in size for Super C, (and he was looking at 24 blade disks), were in the range of $600. to $800., basically new disks. He was also seeing big disks that he could buy for much less money. A neighbor had a 44 blade wheel controled disk. Wanted $100. for the disk.

I first responded, asking what fabrication skills he had, type of welding, grinding, cutting equipment, etc. I soon made up my mind this guy had some decent skills and shop equipment. I then responded back suggesting he buy the 44 blade disk and cut it down to a 24 blade disk. I advised I would guide him through this proceedure. For the next 4 days we each sent two full screen e mails per day, some with photos. Then he started to build, through the weekend I never heard tell of him. By Sun. morning my curiosity was getting the best of me, so I sent an e mail. Still no responce. By noon Sun. I made up my mind things were not going well, he was probably so annoyed with me for talking him into this, that I would never hear tell of him again. On Mon. morning he sent me 3 photos of his new 24 blade working behind his Super C.

Are you game? This guy lived 800 miles from me and we still have never met. I have a photo of that disk on file.

Today's Featured Article - The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac. ... [Read Article]
