I saw an M with the lever on the right side at an auction and a man told me it was a lever that would disengage the hydrolic pump. He said the hydrolic pump always runs on all M tractors without this option. It was suppose to save the pump from unneccesary wear by turning the pump off when not needed. I don't know if he is right or not.
