Boy o boy do I agree with you! You are talking about an Optima battery. They are just GREAT! Check your local Pep Boys at $95.oo each. Interstate battery carries them too. I have the Interstate warehouse about six miles from my house and you can get "return" batterys. They warranty for six months and I get em for only $30.oo. At two below zero my van just spins over like it was 70 degrees. PLEASE check out one of these babys!!!!! By the way; batterys in parallel do not always work. They must be sisters in that they must be the same make -amps-age-Etc.Etc. The charge rates will vary and one is always weak. Sooner or later it will sulfate.
