I'm afraid I have to disagree with Bob and THE RED. I have worked on these letter series tractors for over 20 yrs. and if a H jumps out of 5th gear it needs a new 5th sliding gear installed. And , yes, that would be like the rest has gone. The gear is approx. $150 and you should install a new pilot bearing since that can be what took out the gear. Then there is the gaskets and doing the job is not easy. Farmers who owned two or more farms used these in road gear (5th) alot.
