the S should be start or push button
the R should go directly to the pos on the coil. sometimes they put on a cover with opposite polarities. so if you switch those wires and it does not start then switch them back. the triangle of resistance is alt - resis-key switch-resis - coil. if you only have one resis try running a wire from the bat cable post on the relay to the switch. the wire from the resis to the switch will now go directly to the pos post on the coil. there will be 2 wires at the pos coil post now.
