Chad, I've seen posts where you talk about using the medium or light springs from a chevy recurve kit on a Farmall distributor. I'm wanting to use those out of a kit bought at NAPA (part number: 735-4957) and have found the springs to be a little shorter in length than the ones that are in the distributor now. The recurve kit springs have loops at the ends. Do you 1) use them just as they are and install them a little extended or 2) bend out the loops to hooks shaped like the IH springs - install them relaxed but taught enough to keep the weights in the starting, non-advanced position? Thanks.
