Hello, I had a similar question on this forum earlier today. I believe the casting # is a raised number probably around seven digits with an R something after it. On the D239 it is supposed to be on the left side center toward the top, just below the water jacket. My 674 had no casting # at all. I hope this helps. Good luck. YC
