The H does not have a fuel pump or a dipstick. The service manual has pictures of the power unit version, does not mention a fuel pump, but since these engines were sometimes fueled from a source other than their own fuel tanks it is certainly possible. Where is this fuel pump mount -- I am not sure you have an H engine, or if you do it may have an aftermarket modification. I don't know how you know the serial was ground off. The engine serial is under the # 1 spark plug. Do you see obvious grind marks? The power plant verisons should have engine serial number prefixes of UBHM or IUBHM. The IUBHM means the engine was originally an engine over axle version used in road graders, etc.
