I now have a rear-mounted sickle mower for a Farmall A. I need several rock guards to get it going. I have several guards in the bucket of spare parts that came with the mower, but the ledger plates are worn smooth on all of them. I saw ledger plates advertized in a parts catalog, so I know that the guards can be rehabilitated. My question is: HOW DO I GET THE LEDGER PLATES ON? I figure I can drill the old rivets to get the worn out plates off, but, I can't figure out how to rivet the new plates on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
