On my '46 H, which is older even than I, the top layer of drawbar has a pretty noticable dip in the center, right where the roller of the swinging drawbar rides. A previous owner welded a second drawbar the whole way around for reinforcement. Since I use it mostly for pulling a fairly heavy single axle dump tailer I hung the roller on the wall and did a little more build up. The swinging bar doesn't swing now, put it still slides front to back.
I had to have the swinging bar staightened and a piece welded to the bottom of it, too. And the holes at each end built up.
