Dave: I can readily agree with what you are saying, with one condition, LOCATION. I have traveled around a bit, and in some locations utilities are very plentiful, while in other places they are like hen's teeth. Since coming to YT close to 5 years ago, I see the same thing right across the continant. Areas that embraced the utility really went for it, those who didn't hardly even took a look. I moved here to Strathroy ON 3 years ago. Didn't know a lot of history about the area. I can tell you there must have been one H@## of a good Massey Harris dealer here 50-60 years ago. I am out in a rural farm area, 1 mile grid on roads, about 3 properties to the mile. I'll bet I could find you a 100 restored Massey tractors within 5 mile radius. They run from early 30s into mid 50s. It looks to me as though these guys didn't embrace Massey Ferguson. I don't think they went for IH utilities either. I would say they went on to Farmalls, Deere and now FordNH
