I would run the tractor and see if that voltage drops as CNKS has posted. If it doesn't drop you may be better off to replace the regulator. Running the tractor with voltage above 7.5 volts may void your warranty on the battery too. When a battery has a dead cell with specific gravity of 1100-1150, I never had any luck in improving that cell by more charging. I've even replaced the electolyte in the bad cell and it still made no difference. Exide claims their spiral wound batteries will start after sitting for one year. Hal
