Kelly; Went to your webpage, and enjoyed the section on hayrack construction. I shouldn't be critical of anyone, because I never get any job completed...but, I have to ask one question. Do you feel comfortable with attaching the cross members to the stringers with furniture brackets? I would be a little worried about the deck lifting off the stringers with a partial load at one end. Any rack I've put together, I always bolt through the cross member and stringers at each end (4 total). A good source for long bolts and big washers is the local power company...usually the linemen will have a pail of old ones they will give you. Once again...just an observation and question. You did a great job.
