Is there such an animal as a D301? The C301 is just a C263 with no sleeves, and was run in the 806 and 856, but I've never heard of a D301. D361, I've heard of. The stock diesel in a 560 was the D281. Anyway, it's not worth it. Even if they share the same block, you need EVERY other part from the diesel engine to convert it over, internally AND externally. It's a different crank, different pistons and rods, completely different head...
