According to several different authors, the Deering name was eliminated on the side trademark decals in July 1949. IH also revised the service packages for "Out of Production" tractors like the Farmall A's and B's which had been out of production for at least a year by that date. Thanks goes to Guy Fay and Andy Kraushaar for the above information from their book, "Originality Guide Farmall Letter Series Tractors".
